Medically proven itch relief
To relieve itching & pain, the affected area of skin is briefly heated to around 51 °C. By applying concentrated heat, you can treat insect bites reliably and easily. This chemical-free principle of local hyperthermia is medically confirmed.
We collaborated with Prof. Maurer from Charité Berlin on the clinical evaluation for certification as a medical device. The world’s most comprehensive study on the effectiveness of thermal insect bite treatments was carried out using heat it®. It demonstrates that itching can be significantly relieved within the first minute.

heat it® only works with natural heat and completely without chemicals. By not using own batteries, you can benefit from a sustainable product with no follow-up costs. Up to 1,000 treatments at the highest level are possible with a fully charged smartphone battery. That's enough for you, your family and friends.
Fast application
Treat insect bites in moments with your smartphone. Simply plug heat it® into the charging port and the heat it® app opens. If necessary, you can now individualise the treatment. After a short warm up, place the contact surface of the heat it® on the insect bite. Depending on the setting in the app, the treatment lasts 4, 7 or 9 seconds.

Please check which connection your smartphone needs. The heat it® app is available for free on Google Play and the Apple App Store.
USB-C for Android / iPhone 15 or later
heat it® with a USB-C connector is compatible with Android smartphones and iPhone 15, 16, 17, 18 and all subsequent models (including e, Plus, Pro, Pro Max, Air and Duo). The Apple MFi certification guarantees the best functionality and maximum security.
On some smartphones from OnePlus, OPPO or VIVO, the "OTG" function has to be activated manually.
Older Android smartphones with Micro-USB port must support the OTG standard and require an adapter. These Micro-USB smartphones are unfortunately not compatible:

heat it® with a Lightning connector is compatible with iPhone 6s to 14 (including the iPhone SE). Apple MFi certification guarantees optimum performance and the highest level of safety.
Please note: For technical reasons, a heat it® with a Lightning connector cannot be used with an adapter on a USB-C iPhone (15 or later).

What causes the itch of
Itching is the body's reaction to the mosquito saliva injected during the bite. Our immune system fights back by releasing histamine. As a result, the blood vessels dilate, the bite swells and begins to itch. Heat treatment of the bite causes various endogenous reactions that can relieve itching and pain.
On a mission to end the itch
The idea for heat it® was born during a student competition in 2017. By 2019, we had become a certified medical device manufacturer with in-house development and production in Karlsruhe, Germany.
